Meet the Qs
We’re Junaid and Amanda Quraishi — an admittedly odd couple who somehow make perfect sense together. On paper, we’re different in all the ways that keep life interesting: different backgrounds, different personalities, even different television viewing habits. But we share a few essential things in common, and at the top of that list is our love of food.
Food is our love language. It’s how we explore the world, how we connect with people, and how we understand culture. We’re especially drawn to immigrant-owned restaurants — the tucked-away family spots, the places where recipes carry generations of history, resilience, and pride. Those tables tell stories, and we’ve always wanted to listen.
We’re also the proud parents of twins who are now grown and building lives of their own. With our nest a little quieter these days, we found ourselves ready for a new adventure — a new “baby” to pour our energy into.
The idea for Table For Two was born on a trip to Belize, over a long meal and an even longer conversation about the meals that shape us. This blog is our shared table — and we’re so glad you’re here.
